Psychoanalyst, Author, Radio Show Host

Dr. Nina Savelle-Rocklin, Psy.D.

Nina Savelle-Rocklin, Psy.D. is a psychoanalyst, author, speaker and internationally-recognized expert in the psychology of eating. Featured in the Los Angeles Times, Prevention, Real Simple, Huffington Post and many other publications, and is a frequent guest expert at summits and events, including The Dr. Drew Podcast and the prestigious National Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Dr. Nina brings a fresh perspective by helping people understand "why" they turn to food instead of focusing on what they’re eating. As she puts it, "It's not what you're eating that's the problem, it's what's eating 'at' you."

She created an online course, Kick The Diet Habit, designed to help people all over the world stop binge eating and make peace with food.

Dr. Nina holds a Doctorate in Psychoanalysis from Newport Psychoanalytic Institute. She received a Masters of Arts in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute, graduating with Honors, and was Co-President of the AEL (Alpha Epsilon Lambda) Honor Society for seven terms. She contributed chapters to two psychoanalytic books, Mistrust (Salman Akhtar, ed) and Freud And The Buddha (Axel Hoffer, ed).

Her book, Food For Thought: Perspective On Eating Disorders (2016) is an Amazon bestseller. Her newest book, Beyond The Primal Addiction (co-edited with Salman Akhtar) will be published in March 2019.

In addition to her clinical practice, she writes an award-winning blog, Make Peace With Food, hosts a podcast, Win The Diet War with Dr. Nina and video series, The Dr. Nina Show. Connect with her on - LinkedIn & Instagram. For more information:
